This is my favorite hashtag. It perfectly sums up the artistic journey, emphasizing that the process of painting extends far beyond our time spent at the easel. The finished painting is satisfying, yes, but the road it took to get there was the best part.
The process is in every minute of every day. It’s the behind the scenes, the daily grind, the unseen moments. It’s picking out candy bars at the gas station, crunching dozens of soda cans to get the perfect one, picking flowers, and driving to Michaels in the middle of a snow storm to get Cadmium Red. It’s always thinking about what to paint next – everything around us yearning to be painted and vying for our attention. It’s our daily emotions and past experiences – our traumas and joys – all fuel for creativity – all a part of the process.
